Becky Byrne, LMFT

Licensed Therapist | Guide Behavioral Health

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (#134671)

Becky Byrne brings insight, warmth, and a deeply thoughtful presence to her role as a licensed therapist at Guide Behavioral Health. Born and raised in San Jose, CA, Becky’s path into mental health care was sparked by a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She began her clinical journey in 2018 as a behavioral technician at a homeless shelter—an experience that continues to shape her values and therapeutic approach.

Becky holds a BA in Philosophy from UC Berkeley and an MA in Psychology from Santa Clara University, where she also completed an emphasis in Health Psychology. Her clinical style is rooted in compassion, honesty, curiosity, and collaboration. At Guide, Becky works closely with teens and families to explore challenges, develop emotional resilience, and navigate change with clarity and confidence.

She is especially drawn to working with adolescents, finding inspiration in their openness, humor, and raw authenticity. Becky understands the courage it takes to be vulnerable, and she creates a supportive, judgment-free space where young people can feel seen, heard, and safe to grow.

Outside of work, Becky is an avid fiction reader with an impressive track record in a yearly reading competition with her husband (she’s proudly won three out of the last four years). She loves cooking, strength training, and has recently fallen in love with Pilates. Nature is her favorite recharge zone—especially the coast, where the ocean’s rhythm brings calm and perspective. A lifelong music lover, Becky also has a growing vinyl collection and finds joy in crate-digging at local record stores.

Whether you're facing anxiety, transitions, or just need someone to talk to, Becky shows up with warmth, deep care, and a steady presence—committed to walking alongside teens and families on their journey toward healing and self-discovery.
