A Flexible Teen IOP Designed for Real Life

Some teens need structured support, but a full four-day IOP can feel like too much — for them or for your family. Our Flex IOP gives teens ages 12–17 a warm, steady place to build coping skills, regulate emotions, and stay connected, all with a schedule that feels manageable.

Flex IOP is often the first step before families consider our full Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). It helps teens stabilize early and prevents challenges from escalating.

How Flex IOP Works

After-School Support, Two Days Per Week

Teens attend any two days, Monday through Thursday from 4–7 PM. This flexibility keeps treatment sustainable — especially during peak academic stress or emotional overwhelm.

Evidence-Based Skills for Everyday Challenges

Flex IOP includes DBT-informed emotion regulation, CBT-based coping tools, mindfulness practices, and real-time support for anxiety, shutdowns, and academic pressure.

Teens learn the same core skills taught in our full IOP, but in a lighter-touch format.

A Safe, Structured Space to Reset

Each session is led by licensed clinicians who understand teen emotional cycles — from panic and perfectionism to burnout and social stress.

This program is especially helpful for teens showing early signs of school avoidance or rising anxiety.

Who Flex IOP Helps

Flex IOP is a strong fit for teens who are:

  • Overwhelmed, anxious, or withdrawing

  • Experiencing academic fatigue or performance pressure

  • Struggling socially or shutting down emotionally

  • Using unhelpful coping behaviors

  • Attending school but starting to slip

  • Needing more than weekly therapy — but not ready for full IOP

Families who start with Flex IOP can transition smoothly into our full Intensive Outpatient Program or Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) if additional structure is needed.

Part of the Same Trusted Model as Our Full Teen IOP

Flex IOP uses the same clinical framework as our standard IOP — just fewer weekly hours.

It helps teens:

  • Build emotional resilience

  • Re-engage with school and daily routines

  • Practice communication skills

  • Strengthen relationships at home

  • Grow confidence in handling stress

Parents appreciate that Flex IOP feels supportive rather than overwhelming, and many find it’s the right place to begin before deciding if more intensive care is appropriate.
