Stephanie Samson, AMFT
Intensive Care Coordinator | Guide Behavioral Health
Stephanie Samson brings heart, strength, and years of hands-on experience to her role as Intensive Care Coordinator at Guide Behavioral Health. Born and raised in Redwood City, she’s a lifelong Bay Area native—and an expert in the local community. Stephanie is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University, with dual emphases in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC). Her academic journey began at the College of San Mateo, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from San Francisco State University.
From the start, Stephanie knew she was meant to be a therapist. Supporting others on their healing journey has always felt like a calling. Over the past five years, she’s worked in the mental health field as a neurofeedback technician and behavioral health associate, where she developed a deep interest in nervous system regulation, trauma-informed care, and polyvagal theory. Her clinical approach blends science and empathy—helping teens manage anxiety, depression, and trauma with clarity, compassion, and a grounded presence.
Stephanie is especially passionate about working with adolescents and young adults. She knows firsthand how transformative it can be to feel seen and heard in therapy—an experience that shaped her own teenage years and inspired the path she’s on today. At Guide, she works collaboratively with teens and their families to build trust, deepen self-awareness, and develop the skills needed to thrive.
When she’s off the clock, you’ll find Stephanie hiking in nature, flowing through yoga, or diving into her favorite wellness routines like sauna and cold plunging. She loves live music, discovering new restaurants, catching a good movie, and spending quality time at the dog park with her beloved Corgi. She’s also an identical twin and actively gives back through her volunteer work with Hospitals and Institutions (H&I).
Whether she’s coordinating care, supporting families, or walking alongside teens in their recovery, Stephanie brings warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to every step of the journey.
