Dr. Dahlia Woods, MD
Medical Director | Guide Behavioral Health
If there’s one thing Dr. Dahlia Woods believes in, it’s that mental health is everything. As the Medical Director at Guide Behavioral Health, she’s dedicated to helping teens navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and the everyday stressors of adolescence with a mix of expertise, warmth, and a deep commitment to holistic care.
Dr. Woods’ journey into psychiatry wasn’t just about science—it was about connection. After completing her undergraduate studies at The University of Pennsylvania and earning her medical degree from The University of Miami, she trained at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Stanford University, where she worked closely with Dr. David Burns, one of the pioneers of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She has since built a career specializing in TEAM-CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure Therapy (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), making her a trusted expert in adolescent mental health.
But let’s get real—being a teen today is hard. Between social media pressures, academic stress, and figuring out who they are, teens are up against challenges that can feel overwhelming. Dr. Woods doesn’t just treat symptoms—she helps teens rebuild confidence, challenge negative thought patterns, and develop coping skills that last a lifetime. She believes that mental health treatment should be collaborative and empowering, giving teens the tools they need to take charge of their well-being.
Outside the office, Dr. Woods is all about movement, connection, and adventure. She’s on a Latin dance performance team, loves traveling, and is a proud Francophile (she even studied French in college!). She’s also passionate about community service—whether it’s teaching English to orphans, providing medical care to underserved communities, or planning her next volunteer trip with her family. And let’s not forget her German Shepherd, who keeps her on her toes.
At Guide Behavioral Health, Dr. Woods is more than just a psychiatrist—she’s a mentor, an advocate, and a believer in every teen’s potential. If your teen is struggling, she’s here to help them find their footing, rediscover their strengths, and move forward with confidence.
Looking for a psychiatrist who truly gets it? Dr. Woods is ready to meet you.
