Danny DuRee, Outreach & Admissions Manager

Danny DuRee

President | Outreach & Admissions | Guide Behavioral Health

Danny DuRee brings a thoughtful, grounded approach to his leadership as President of Guide Behavioral Health. A Bay Area native who grew up in Walnut Creek, Danny has always been drawn to work that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Before founding Guide, Danny practiced as an estate planning attorney—an experience that gave him firsthand insight into how many families quietly struggle with behavioral health challenges. That perspective sparked a personal and professional shift. Today, he leads Guide’s outreach and admissions efforts, ensuring families receive clear, compassionate support at every step.

Danny earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his law degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. While his legal training provided a strong foundation, it’s his empathy, humor, and deep curiosity that shape his daily work with teens, young adults, and their caregivers. He especially values the potential for growth he sees in young people—and the chance to help families find the right path forward.

Outside of work, Danny is often skiing, mountain biking, or reading a great book. He spent three seasons teaching kids at a ski school in Colorado and brings that same mix of patience and encouragement to his work at Guide. A fun fact? He’s taken improv classes and even completed stand-up comedy school—skills that come in handy when building trust and connection.

Whether he’s answering a first inquiry call or mentoring a family through the admissions process, Danny approaches every interaction with warmth, respect, and a deep belief in the power of early support.
