Our Teen Treatment Programs
At Guide Behavioral Health, we offer flexible, evidence-based outpatient programs designed to help teens ages 12–17 stabilize, build coping skills, and reconnect with school and family life. Conveniently located in Menlo Park, we support families across Palo Alto and San Mateo County.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our after-school IOP runs 4–7 PM, Monday–Thursday, giving teens the structure and support they need without disrupting school. IOP includes group therapy, skills work, individual check-ins, and family involvement — all focused on helping teens regulate emotions and make progress.
Flex Intensive Outpatient Program (Flex IOP)
Flex IOP offers the same clinical model as IOP but with any two days per week, Monday–Thursday. It’s a lower-barrier option for teens who need support but aren’t ready for a full four-day program. Parents love this — it fits real schedules while still providing meaningful structure.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
PHP is our highest level of outpatient support, running 11 AM–4 PM, Monday–Friday. Teens benefit from more daily structure, safety, and emotional regulation work while staying connected to family and continuing school with personalized coordination.

Comprehensive Mental Health Support for Teens
Teens today face more pressure and emotional strain than ever. At Guide Behavioral Health, we support teens ages 12–17 who are struggling with anxiety, depression, school challenges, emotional dysregulation, and early substance use. Our goal is to help teens feel steady, connected, and capable again — at home, at school, and within themselves.
We treat a wide range of challenges, including persistent anxiety, panic, low mood, self-harm urges, and intense emotional swings. Many teens also come to us when school becomes overwhelming or when stress leads to withdrawal, conflict, or school avoidance.
Our approach blends evidence-based therapy with warmth, structure, and real-world skill building. We work closely with families and schools across Menlo Park, Palo Alto, and San Mateo County to help teens regain confidence, communicate more clearly, and move forward with support.
