Trauma-Informed Therapist & EMDR Specialist | Guide Behavioral Health
EMDR Therapist • Nervous-System Regulation • Adolescent & Family Care
Gina Moreno brings warmth, grounding, and a deeply trauma-informed presence to her work with teens and families at Guide Behavioral Health. A trained EMDR therapist, Gina integrates EMDR, somatic interventions, and nervous-system regulation to help adolescents access meaningful, lasting change. Her therapeutic style is nurturing, steady, and culturally informed — creating a safe space where teens can explore challenges, build resilience, and experience deep-rooted healing.
Gina has extensive experience supporting adolescents and families navigating school avoidance, trauma, anxiety, complex family dynamics, parent coaching, and co-parent counseling. She has led PHP and IOP groups for both adolescents and adults with high-acuity needs, and has spent more than a decade walking alongside Bay Area families through significant emotional and developmental transitions. She finds it deeply rewarding to witness her clients’ transformation — whether it’s increased confidence, stronger coping skills, or a newfound understanding of their nervous system that supports them far beyond therapy.
Her clinical background includes private practice, community mental health, and IOP/PHP behavioral health settings. A Bay Area native, Gina has dedicated years of pro-bono psychotherapy to families in need and continues to believe wholeheartedly that healing “takes a village.”
Gina has trained with leading experts in EMDR and addiction and is an active member of the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) and the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). She is currently pursuing EMDRIA certification and completing advanced training toward becoming a CSAT.
Outside the therapy room, Gina loves traveling, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with her family and two beloved dogs.
