Associate Marriage & Family Therapist | Guide Behavioral Health

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT #148820)

Alisa Rose Healy brings a warm, thoughtful, and relationship-centered approach to her work with teens and families at Guide Behavioral Health. She is passionate about helping young people better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and develop the confidence to navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and self-awareness.

Raised in Los Altos, California, Alisa has deep roots in the Bay Area and values the strong sense of community, connection, and balance that the region offers. Her passion for behavioral health grew from a lifelong interest in personal growth, mindfulness, emotional wellness, and the healing power of authentic human connection.

Alisa earned her Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science from Tufts University in Boston before completing her Master's degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. Her clinical training integrates evidence-based approaches with a strong appreciation for the connection between mind and body, helping clients better understand how emotions, relationships, and life experiences shape their overall well-being.

Over the past four years, Alisa has worked with adolescents, young adults, and families across a variety of treatment settings. She previously served as a Primary Therapist at Evolve Residential Treatment in Walnut Creek, where she supported teens experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions while helping families strengthen communication and connection.

Alisa's clinical philosophy centers on the belief that the mind and body naturally move toward healing, balance, and regulation. Rather than forcing change, she focuses on helping clients identify barriers, build supportive conditions, and reconnect with their own capacity for growth and healing. Her style is collaborative, compassionate, and highly individualized to each teen's needs.

At Guide Behavioral Health, Alisa works with teens participating in both Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services, helping them develop practical coping skills, strengthen emotional awareness, and build healthier patterns both at home and in daily life. She enjoys the creativity and flexibility that working with teens requires and values finding meaningful ways to help young people feel seen, understood, and empowered.

Outside of the therapy room, Alisa enjoys music, songwriting, hiking, gardening, baking birthday cakes, traveling, crafting, and spending time with family. She is also passionate about environmental stewardship and has volunteered with organizations such as Save The Bay while participating in community cleanup and recycling initiatives throughout the Bay Area.
